Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data based on:
- Contractual necessity — to provide the TeachUp service you signed up for
- Legitimate interests — to improve app performance and fix bugs
- Your consent — for optional notifications (attendance reminders, payment alerts, birthday reminders)
- (a) Managing your account and syncing data across your devices
- (b) Providing access to lesson management, student tracking, and attendance features
- (c) Sending local push notifications for payment due dates, attendance reminders, and student birthdays (only if you enable these)
- (d) Processing subscription payments securely via RevenueCat
- (e) Generating monthly attendance and payment reports (PDF/CSV)
- (f) Responding to customer support requests
- (g) Improving app stability via anonymous crash reports

Data Retention
- Your data is retained as long as your account remains active
- You can delete all data at any time: Settings → Data Management → Delete All Data
- Upon account deletion, all data is permanently removed from Firebase servers
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data at any time via the app or by contacting us
- Withdraw consent for notifications at any time in device Settings
